Unlike workshop and production carpets, our rugs are personal expressions of the weaver's life. They are pieces woven with a purpose, each with its distinct personality and charm.

Our Mission at the Magic Carpet Cultural Center is to foster an understanding and exchange between eastern and western cultures through the arts and education.

Rugs: The Shop and Gallery. Since their beginnings, carpets have provided us with both function and beauty. They appeal to us on a very basic level. Visually, they feed our eyes and our imaginations with color, texture, and design. We have a wide array of antique, tribal and village pieces–carpets, kilims and textiles–unique handchosen pieces for your floors or walls.

Classroom workshop: The Magic Carpet Project is a cultural collaboration for elementary schools wishing to engage in a multicultural, peace and art education project. It allows children in the United States to draw their vision for a rug, imbuing it with their hopes and dreams. These drawings, with the child's wishes, are given to village weavers in Turkey to weave into the child's "magic carpet".
